We can overcome loneliness, lovelessness, and disconnection.
We can gain wisdom about love and loving-kindness.
We can understand how to turn conflict into creative conversations.
We can then enjoy life with kindness and friendliness in our hearts.
Most people didn't learn to communicate well.
It often led to confusion and conflict.

you need to have a lasting, healthy, loving relationship.
James Taylor sang,
“The secret of life is opening up your heart.”
Humans are social animals, yet studies show two-thirds of U.S. adults
are lonely, and half of all adults are too shy to seek friendships.
Many people then develop a habit or addiction to something
to numb the pain of feeling lonely and unloved.
Many don't feel safe in their relationships.
Two-thirds of people
are not in a sexually satisfying relationship,
and many then turn online to pornography
to satisfy their sexual needs.
Pornography can then become addictive
as it activates pleasurable hormones in the brain.
Social media and mass media are filled with hostility.
The pandemic social distancing process
made people feel even lonelier.

7 Keys to Love shares many ideas about
healthy, loving relationships, and how to create
a much more compassionate, creative,
kinder world for all.
Once upon a time, about 50 years ago, I was confused about love, so I started reading and compiling quotations about love.
My reading led to collecting 800 pages of quotes I then sorted into different expressions of love: illusory love; self-love; friendly love; couple and romantic love; family, filial love, love for parents and the elderly; altruistic, platonic, community love; love for culture and nature; love for life and love for the world; and agape, cosmic, universal love for the source and the creation.
Compiling quotes for years, I learned more and more about love's many dimensions. I called the writings Love's Journey, as if it was the Energy of Love journeying in the universe, into the different forms of love: personal, interpersonal, through families and in communities.
I saw that the values of empathy, compassion and loving-kindness are built into our institutions of education, health, human services and cultural activities to help people heal, enlighten and grow in loving-kindness. People have the capacity to care in so many ways.
After many years of research and writing, in 2009, I finally published the Love's Journey book as 7 Keys to Love ~ Opening Love’s Door to Joy & Wellbeing. Many people liked the book very much. You can see their comments below.

Pity the living and, above all, pity those without love."

Without them humanity cannot survive."

“I love wisdom. And you can never be great at anything unless you love it. Not be in love with it, but love the thing, admire the thing. And it seems that if you love the thing, and you don’t just want to possess it, it will find you.”
Maya Angelou
"I've come to believe that our job here on earth is to learn to love ourselves as the Creator loves us. Only then can we truly love others. Sandy Hinden observes that 'Self-love starts with valuing yourself...' It starts a chain reaction of inner appreciation leading to outer success. 7 Keys to Love is a truly transformational book that must be read at least twice, to benefit from the insights and wisdom shared."

"I am so impressed with your book 7 Keys to Love. I read it, then put it down, then read it again. I keep it, not by the bed, but in the bed! Relationships are often tenuous... but you write about the 'ideal' and of course, this is something to be devoutly wished."

"The 7 Keys to Love should be mandatory reading for humans! Why isn't this the text book for a class some point between 1st and 12th grade you must take a few times? If more people read this book, and used the information in their daily living, we would all be a lot happier. I loved this book and it should be a must read for everyone. Great job Sandy."

"I strongly encourage teens and adults who want to make this world a better place read 7 Keys to Love - Opening Love's Door to Joy & Well-being. Sandy will show you how to enrich yourself through finding compassion for yourself and others in your community, and in your circle of family and friends. He shows you how to extend that love to nature and enhance your creativity."

"Sandy, keep spreading the word. The word is Love and it's the most important word in the world – and our only hope for peace and survival. There are not enough people talking about what's so vital for our planet – Love."

"The one thing everyone desires, the best gift you can ever give to your family, the foundation for a happy family, is LOVE. Unconditional love is often hard to practice on a day-to-day basis and it is now possible with the 7 Keys to Love by author and speaker Sandy Hinden."

"Sandy Hinden’s book 7 Keys to Love is about love for all. The youth of America and the world need information about this important subject – love – that is not part of the school curriculum (yet). Remember the song ‘I want to know what love is. I want you to show me.’ Youth want more information about this most important aspect of life. 7 Keys to Love provides it. It corrects mistakes early, when two people are in love, providing fast, critical understanding of values and skills. I suggest all youth, parents, and grandparents purchase 7 Keys to Love and all teachers and school administrators be trained in 7 Keys to Love. It is knowledge that takes some of us a lifetime to learn."

“Sandy Hinden has written an amazing, powerful, compassionate and important book for our times! I have been awed, inspired, encouraged, and enlightened by the diversity of his knowledge, experience and insights. He has produced a masterful, practical, and essential work on Love in all its aspects as a force for Healing in the world. He has shown that through healing ourselves first through Love, we can go on to heal our personal and work relationships, our communities, and, ultimately, the world.
Sandy Hinden has combined a deep understanding of psychology and spirituality with a practical hands-on methodology for how to do this. The years of dedication he has given to work in the areas of world peace, ecology, and non-violent communication has culminated in this wonderful work.
The title 7 Keys to Love ~ Opening Love's Door to Joy & Well-being truly describes what can happen when we implement these keys. The Workshops he offers to put these teachings into practice ourselves, in families, in relationships, and in communities are great tools that need to be given around the country and world in schools, churches, community centers, prisons, hospitals, etc..
I am re-reading the book and have ordered ten copies to give to friends and colleagues!”
