 The Top-Down Effect: 

Large economic, political, and social systems 

design the rules of daily life.

The Cultural Bridge: 

Those rules turn into societal norms, 

determining how people treat each other.

The Individual Outcome: 

People adapt to those norms to survive, 

adopting either healthy or survival-based behaviors. 

Many traumatic systems end up creating addictions in people 

for them to numb the pain of daily living. 

 🔄 The Dysfunctional Cycle

1. The System: A broken economic system prioritizes profit over people and nature, or lacks a safety net.
2. The Society: Status obsession, high inequality, mistrust, hyper-competition, resentment, and chronic stress become the norm.
3. The Person: Individuals suffer from trauma, tension, isolation, disconnection, and burnout. They may act destructively because the systems and environment feel unchangeable and unsafe. 

☀️ The Healthy Cycle

1. The System: A robust system provides accessible healthcare, work for all who need it, fair wages, affordable quality education, affordable housing, and justice.
2. The Society: Trust, cooperation, community support, and safety flourish.
3. The Person: Individuals have the psychological safety to innovate, express empathy, rest, and build healthy relationships. 

This perspective shifts the focus from simply 

"fixing" individuals to restructuring the environments 

that shape them.
