Breaking the Loom: An Interfaith Initiative

for Healing Beyond Holy War.  

Our purpose is urgent and clear: to end the weaponization of religion in violent conflict and to reclaim faith as a force for healing, not harm.

The tragic cycles of violence in our world — from the Middle East to every place where religion is twisted into a weapon — show us that faith must no longer be used to sanctify war. The time has come for religious and spiritual leaders to stand together and say:  Not in God’s name. 

Humanity’s crises — 

climate collapse, inequality, authoritarianism, and systemic breakdown — 

are not random.

They are symptoms of deeper causes. This three-part trilogy, now woven

 into one report, traces the progression. 

Together, these parts form

a single arc:

Where we fail → 

How we fail → Why we fail.

And they point to the next frontier:

a practice of wholeness that can realign both humans

and systems toward 

survival and regeneration.

Unhealed wounds at the top

are shaping the world’s most destructive decisions that affect billions of people,  

the whole planet and all future generations. 

 Wise leadership requires more than 

charisma, strategy, or vision.  It requires healing.

Trauma-healed leaders

act with empathy, responsibility, and care. 

They can then 

step out of cycles 

of fear and reaction 

to make long-term 

decisions rooted in 

wisdom, compassion, and integrity.

Drawing from 

Earth systems science, 

trauma-informed design, multi-systems thinking, and cultural renewal, we offer this framework 

as a guide for regenerating society 

from the inside out.

— but how to become

who can.
