Sanford Hinden is a global educator, systems thinker, and organizational developer dedicated to advancing peace, justice, sustainable governance, and Earth stewardship.
He has provided local and global research, program and organizational development, education and training, for over 50 years, leading transformational programs for UN initiatives, government agencies, civic organizations, Rotary-related groups, NGOs, educational institutions, parents, teachers, librarians, and the public.
He reorganized all Wisocracy writings into Wisocracy Univers*ty, a vision of a university for global wisdom that educates humanity toward a regenerative, thriving future.
The university comprises Wisocracy Central, the administrative focal point of the campus, encircled by the Wise People Center, Wise Culture Center, Wise AI Lab, Wise Economy Hall, Wise Governance Hall, and Wise Earth Rotunda. The sections on the website now correspond to the university-in-the-making for wise people: wise culture, wise AI, wise economy, wise governance, and a wise Earth system.
He has written on personal growth, leadership transformation, and systemic reform, and helped lead global movements in civic education, peacebuilding, and sustainable governance.
He worked across five decades and continents, leading transformational programs for UN initiatives, Rotary-related groups, NGOs, educational institutions, and civic organizations.
He developed and facilitated more than 200 interactive sessions, both locally and online, on habit improvement, meditation, meaning and purpose, wellbeing, relationships and communication, empathy, leadership, and community improvement.
His work has focused on helping people connect more deeply with themselves, each other, and the larger world through kindness, wisdom, and dialogue. I authored The Sovereign Earth Fund & Council (2026). Education To Live Well (2025), 7 Keys to Love (2009), and founded Wisocracy.org (2022) to foster wise democracy and governance.
