Sanford Hinden is the founder of Wisocracy, working for wise democracy, wise leadership, wise systems, wisdom, wellness, peace, and nature. He worked locally, nationally, and globally developing organizations, projects, and programs for peace, the environment, health, human services, education, and the arts. His programs help seniors, adults, teens, and children reach their full potential and enjoy life more. Sandy was director of Community Partners for Coordinated Services for Suffolk Community Council, and executive director of the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center. In 2009, Sandy published 7 Keys to Love – Opening Love’s Door to Joy & Wellbeing. In 2014, he created the Commonwealth for Earth & Humanity for the annual 10% reduction of military budgets globally to fund human, social, and Earth's needs. He provides coaching in communication, relationships, habit change, and recovery.
Nick Heap became a research chemist with ICI, a large chemical company based in Britain. ICI was very committed to development and ran T-groups (sensitivity training) for scientists. He went on one, and it was a life-changing experience where he learned that most of the problems in the industry and the wider world could be solved if people listened to each other. This showed Nick how to help his dream come true. He decided to change his career to help people listen to each other. This took four years and he then worked with ICI as an internal organization development consultant. He had six fascinating years with a free hand to do “Whatever I could get away with that was likely to be helpful”. Today, Nick facilitates change and learning internationally, coaches, and provides Appreciative Inquiry workshops and facilitation.
